The cat is finally out of the bag - its true a lot of the songs that formed the soundtrack to our musical history were cover versions, written and performed by the original overseas artists. All of the below song titles will be familiar to everyone as they were all big hits in the hands of our local heroes, producers and arrangers. None of these records were hits by these original artists in their home countries apart from a few Top 100 entries
