The Langoliers

Ten airplane passengers fall aspleep right after take off and awaken mid-flight to discover they are the only people left on the plane. An off-duty airline pilot takes charge and lands the plane but they find the airport deserted, the air stale, the food tasteless and the only sound, a far off rumbling that is gradually getting closer. Based on the story 'Four Past Midnight' by Stephen King.
