About Us are a hard rock band hailing from Nagaland, in the north-east of India. The sixpiece rock formed in 2019 and released their acclaimed international self titled debut album in 2022 and are now coming back with a sophomore release entitled 'Take a Piece'. Recognized worldwide for its cuisine and culture, landscapes, languages and the Bollywood film industry, India are now showing the world they are a force to be reckoned with in the arena of hard rock, with bands such as Girish & The Chronicles, Fifth Note (also hailing from Nagaland) and obviously the impressive About Us who have been already awarded for the Best Rock Band category at the MG Nagaland Music Awards (June 23, 2021) and at the Music Awards of Nagaland (October 16, 2021). The new album - 'Take a Piece' - includes once again ten infectious rock songs which certainly spice up the debut with more guitars and a heavier approach, though keeping intact the taste for immediate and hummable melodies intertwined with an energetic and technical approach on the instrumental side - these guys know how to play thanks to their over 15 years experience in the local music scene. Certainly the singer Sochan Kikon is one of the most outstanding and chameleonic voices to come out on the scene in the past few months (it's really no surprise that the Frontiers label tapped him to appear on a Michael Bolton tribute last year) with considerable extension and great interpretative skills.
