Based on ancient folklore, four children awaken a demon named the QUEEN OF SPADES believing it is just a harmless game. When two of the children die in freak accidents the following days, ANNA tries to convince her mother MARY that the curse is real. With the help of supernatural expert SMIRNOV, whose son was killed by the entity, they struggle to rid themselves of the curse. But is Smirnov truly an expert or just a troubled grieving father who has lost touch with reality? Is the Queen of Spades real? Or just an imaginary figment of a child calling out for attention?
