Imagine

Imagine’ the album features many of The Beatles classic rock songs performed on classical violin with an outpouring of emotion. A special version of ‘Saltwater’ by Julian Lennon (vocal mixed & co produced by Nuno Bettencourt) is also included to renew awareness and inspire action surrounding environmental issues, in the spirit of the original recording. Julian, who was also the direct inspiration for ‘Hey Jude’ (also on this record), and Tommy Emmanuel re-recorded the song especially for this record and also to support Julian’s charity The White Feather Foundation in their mission to Conserve Life by supporting causes that address the environment, education/health, clean water and the preservation of Indigenous. The original recording of ‘Saltwater’ reached #1 in Australia for four weeks.  ‘It has always been a dream of mine to record an album of Beatles songs especially played on the violin. I feel each song truly lends itself so well to this instrument and it enables me to record them in the style that I have always wanted to play them in. For years I have performed songs like While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Let It Be, and Hey Jude in a live setting and it was a goal of mine to record these exactly how I love to play them on stage,’ says Patrick.
