Melvins are one of modern music’s most influential bands. Having formed in 1983 Montesano, Washington, the outfit founded by singer/guitar player Buzz Osborne (with stalwart drummer Dale Crover joining the following year), has been credited for merging the worlds of punk rock and heavy music into what became known as grunge. oContemporaries of Nirvana, Mudhoney etc. Buzz Osbourne is an old high school friend of Kurt Cobain’s and the two played together in Cobain’s first band, Fecal Matter. oHave toured Australia numerous times, including a headline tour at end of 2017 (sold out venues including Max Watts, Melbourne)
