Helpful Songs For Little People
Teeny Tiny Stevies have unveiled their new single, ‘Boss of My Own Body’, lifted from the forthcoming album ‘Helpful Songs For Little People’ - available February 16 through ABC KIDS. The band’s beautifully arranged songs explore the everyday challenges that children experience, with the aim of educating in an entertaining, understandable, and practical manner. When writing Helpful Songs For Little People sisters, Byll and Beth Stephen, wanted to keep to a theme of writing songs that helped parents as much as kids. After reaching out to their social platforms regarding everyday challenges that parents face, they were overwhelmed with the response from parents requesting songs covering important themes that were more difficult to discuss with children. As a result, Byll and Beth got stuck into writing songs that could be used as a conversation starter between parents and children, that would reinforce a useful message or skill while being enjoyable to listen to for the whole family. Songs such as ‘Boy or Girl Colour’, ‘How to Apologise’, ‘Shoelaces’ and more were created, as well as the lead single ‘Boss of My Own Body’. ‘Boss of My Own Body’ highlights the fact that although, as children, there may not be a lot that they are currently the boss of, their body is something that will always be their own. The songs are cheerful and fun, but broach important topics that are relevant in the adult world also. “There is so much great children’s entertainment out there made exclusivel
