In the sixth season of this family cop drama, Frank (Tom Selleck) becomes convinced that New York City is the next target for a terrorist attack. Meanwhile Frank discovers Mayor Poole (David Ramsey) has been involved in illegal activity. Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) tracks down a serial killer after finding several women dead. A journalist who is riding along with Jamie (Will Estes) and Eddie (Vanessa Ray) is shot. Erin (Bridget Moynahan) feels guilty after a man she released is arrested for killing a cop. When an NYPD officer is not indicted for shooting a teenager, the public outcry puts every cop in danger.
