With over a decade in the game, Thundamentals' journey has been one of triumph and growth. From selling out shows in all corners of the country racking up millions of streams worldwide and landing multiple platinum and gold singles, Tuka, Jeswon and Morgs have consistently pushed Thundamentals to new heights, standing tall as one of the most notable names in homegrown hip-hop. Sonically, the album could be considered a fresh direction for Thundamentals, but it’s one they took organically. Having been thrust into new circumstances with a newfound appreciation for life and creating also led to inspiration being drawn from childhood favourites from outside of their traditionally hip hop roots—iconic ‘60s rock idols like David Bowie and The Doors to the raw expression of ‘90s bands like Nirvana and Faith No More laid the foundations for an album that mixes nostalgic sounds with modern techniques while still incorporating the group's origins in hip hop and R&B culture.
